A Bronx Night by Lenora

The Love Of God Is Greater Far, is the song I was humming while waiting for the #5 train at E180th St on Saturday nite coming from AYS at Ephesus 1991.

Still humming, I was mugged in front of what probably still is the parking lot on Seymour (between Boston n Givan).  At first, I thought it was a prank by neighbor, Violet, nephew… Sherwin, but alas it was not.

Shaking…I ran upstairs to tell Nana what happened, and how ANGRY I was that God allowed the mugging. Angry because I was humming The Love Of God Is Greater Far. Her response, “Of course, the love of God is greater far…you were not injured!  Mmmm that statement a different light in my perspective.😮

That night, the mugger came up behind me, placed his hand around my face n mouth and told me to drop my bag. Fortunately my keys were in my hand and strangely, before leaving the apartment that Saturday afternoon and heading to AYS at Ephesus, I decided to empty my purse of all important documents.

Only travelers checks were in my stolen purse.

All this just happened a few days after I had returned from St. Lucia…and was still on a high of how wonderful life is! 😯

Yes, the love of God is greater far….

🌴💃💕🌻🥭💫

The part that made me cry ‘n’ shout the same time is…

😮Aside from not being harmed, the stolen $150 travelers checks was reimbursed by the bank within the week!😯

The love of God IS GREATER far than tongue or pen could ever tell!
